2010-2011 Season

At the AGM held on 25 June, the folowing dates and venues were agreed:

Sunday 10 October 2010 Newbridge Fields, Bridgend
Sunday 14 November 2010 University of Bath
Saturday 4 December 2010 Blaise Castle, Bristol
Weekend 12/13 February 2011 Penlan Leisure Centre, Brecon
Weekend 12/13 March 2011 Singleton Park, Swansea

These dates will be confirmed as soon as possible.
Other main decisions made at the meeting are:
When athletes change clubs during a season they will only score team points for the first club they competed for.
We still desperately need new officials particularly for registration and timekeeping.
Sheila Crump Award - Derek Williams (our Hon. Treasurer)
Gilbert Legge Award - Brecon A.C.
Life Member - Hedydd Davies

Team Managers Please Note:

The scoring members of any team must be FIRST CLAIM. Any athlete that is not first claim will be scored as an individual only and the team will not be credited with their points.

Any athlete that is not properly declared 15 minutes before the start of their race will also be counted as an individual.

The results of the Seniors and the Juniors are compiled some 100 miles apart. Placing the result envelopes in the wrong box does not help an efficient results service!!! Please take care when submitting the envelopes.

If you have sufficient athletes for more than one team it is important that the results are recorded on the appropriate team envelope. The results team will always correct this but it takes them time!!

Please indicate (on the results envelopes) athletes under the age of 23 and veterans. Please note that veteran ages are on the day of the race! Please note that Club colours must be worn in the Gwent League. The penalty for not doing so may be disqualification.
